About Joseph

JosephAs an exceptionally highly qualified and experienced practitioner in his field, Joseph brings extensive expertise in counselling, psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Analytic Therapy and hypnotherapy to his role as Clinical Director of The Psychotherapy Clinic

Joseph holds a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology, a post-MA Diploma and MA in Counselling Psychology, as well as four further degrees, two of which are at Masters level in the fields of Psychology of Education and Counselling Psychology. He is also an experienced lecturer in the subject of psychology.

As well as being a member of the British Psychological Society and Associate Fellow (FBPsS), Joseph is a Chartered Counselling Psychologist registered with the UK’s health regulator, is on the Health Professions Council, and is a chartered member of the British Psychological Society. Highly active in the research of emotional intelligence and therapy, he practices an integrative approach to treatment, which includes Cognitive Analytic and Cognitive Behavioural Therapies in order to facilitate lasting, positive change.

In the past fifteen years, Joseph has been involved in clinical work, teaching and academic practice within private, public, and educational healthcare contexts. Not only has he worked at GP medical centres and overseas therapy clinics, but he has also worked at Guy’s Hospital and with leading mental health charity Mind.

About Phillippe Jacquet

Phillippe JacquetPhilippe Jacquet is the founder of the Eating Disorder & Addiction Specialists group. He is a specialist in Addiction Therapy and Spiritual Counselling, with over ten years’ experience of helping people with addictions, eating disorders, personality disorders and trauma recovery.

Philippe trained at Hazelden (www.hazelden.org), and has since worked with adolescent offenders in Belgium, at Hope-one Recovery Centre in Brussels, Promis Recovery Centre in Kent and most recently, Life Works in Surrey. He lectures and gives workshops across the globe on treating addiction, and is an instructor in Non-Violence Crisis Intervention. He is currently working toward two MA’s in integrative art therapy and eating disorders.

About Dr Nagore Benito

Dr Nagore BenitoI am a Consultant Psychiatrist specialised in General Adult Psychiatry. I completed my Medical Studies at Paris-Diderot University (France) and Autonomous University of Barcelona (Spain). I then completed my residency in General Adult Psychiatry in Parc Tauli Hospital (Barcelona, Spain). After a fellowship at ORYGEN Youth Centre in Melbourne (Australia), where I received training in early intervention in mental health, I obtained a substantive post as a Consultant Psychiatrist at Parc Tauli Hospital (Barcelona, Spain).

During my years of clinical practice in Spain, I was Coordinator of a Clinical and Research Program for Early Intervention and Detection of Psychosis at Parc Tauli Hospital in Barcelona. I was co-founder and Consultant Psychiatrist at a Private Psychiatry Practice specialised in English-Speaking clients living in Barcelona.

I then moved to London to continue my professional career at the NHS in Kensington and Chelsea, at one of the country’s leading mental health NHS Foundation Trusts, where I currently hold a part-time job. As part of my professional development, I am currently conducting research at the Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College London.

I have always been very interested in keeping updated about the latest advances and treatments in Psychiatry. To that aim, I obtained a European Certificate in Mood and Anxiety Disorders by the University of Maastricht (The Netherlands). I am currently enrolled in a Masters Degree in Neuroimaging by the University of Edinburgh. As part of my continuing professional development, I attend courses on up-to-date psychiatric prescribing and psychotherapy.
