Fees and Insurance

Should you decide to go ahead with therapy, you will first of all be asked to attend a semi-structured interview during which the main issues that you are facing will be discussed and assessed, and a programme developed to meet your specific needs. In order for us to set realistic treatment goals and priorities, it is important to evaluate what resources you have available to pay for your treatment.

Kindly note initial assessments for individual psychological therapy are charged at a higher rate than follow up psychotherapy sessions. Assessments last for one hour and psychotherapy sessions last for 50 minutes.

Our fees vary between 65 pounds to 120 pounds according to the clients affordability, and therapist level of experience, professional training and availability. We are able to negotiate reduced fees on a sliding scale depending on financial circumstances. If you are paying fees yourself, payment for each consultation can be made on the day of the appointment by cheque, or cash.

Private Medical Insurance for therapy

If you have private healthcare insurance, we hold recognition as providers of healthcare in the field of psychology with all the major insurance companies. During your first session, we will seek information concerning any health insurance policy that you may have in place and, where appropriate, we will assist you in filling out any necessary forms and provide you with whatever assistance we can in helping you receive the benefits to which you are entitled.

It is important to remember, however, that it is you and not your insurance company who is responsible for full payment of any fees and so you should check carefully to find out exactly what mental health services your insurance policy covers.
